Application Errors in TopsView

+ TopsView Device Not Found
 

If you are receiving the Device Not Found Error on your Application then you may need to check the following:

Make sure that your Digital Video Recorder is set for a DHCP connection

1.      Right Click on DVR Screen.

2.      Access the Menu (first icon on left).

3.      Enter the Network Tab.

4.      The first Drop down Box should be set to DHCP.

Make sure that your Digital Video Recorder has the Cloud Server Enabled

1.      Right Click on DVR Screen.

2.      Access the Menu (first icon on left).

3.      Enter the Network Tab.

4.      Click on Net Service at the bottom of the list.

5.      The last one on this list should say Cloud make sure it is enabled by double clicking and activating it.

Make sure that the correct QR Code has been scanned with TopsView ( should be the SN code )

  1. Right Click on DVR Screen.
  2. Access the Guide (second icon on left).
  3. On this screen Cloud should be checked and click Next Page
  4. Make sure the last QR code is being scanned SN can be read above the logo
  5. The last one on this list should say Cloud make sure it is enabled by double clicking and activating it.

Restart your Router

               A Quick restart on your router will refresh the connections from the router to the Digital Video Recorder and should allow you to connect on your Mobile Device.

 

+ TopsView Authentication Error
 

If you are receiving the Authentication Error on your Application then you may need to:

               A Quick restart on your router will refresh the connections from the router to the Digital Video Recorder and should allow you to connect on your Mobile Device.

 

+ TopsView Poor Quality on device
 

If you are receiving Poor Quality Camera Feed on your Application then you may need to check the Resolution options for recording. However this can reduce the FPS on your application and appear as images rather than a video.

Change the quality of the Sub-stream to allow better quality camera feed.

  1. Right Click on DVR Screen.
  2. Access the Menu (first icon on left).
  3. Enter the Record Tab.
  4. On the right hand side of the screen is where the Sub-stream options can be changed.
  5. Resolution can be changed on right hand section to change the quality of the Mobile feed.
  6. Also Quality itself can be changed to increase the quality from your Mobile

Please note that FPS can be affected by changing these options and it can significantly reduce the viewing experience.
