1.     Please ensure that you have either an Ethernet Cable or USB Wifi Plugged into your DVR and there are active lights on the port or device. If Ethernet is being used please make sure that you have it plugged into your router.

2.     Please Ensure that the connection you are trying to establish is a DHCP connection.

a.     Right Click on the Screen.

b.     Access the Main Menu (First Icon on the left).

c.      Access the Network Tab.

d.     The first option at the top of the screen called Networking will display Static IP or DHCP. Please make sure that DHCP is selected on this drop down box.

e.     Click ok at the bottom to confirm your change and right click to exit all screens.

The DHCP setting is used to automatically make a connection with the router and to allow an internet access to the Digital Video Recorder. This removes any trouble with manually setting up an IP address. If for certain reasons you wish to connect via a Static IP address then feel free to send us a message and ask for a Static IP setup guide for your Digital Video Recorder.

If you are connecting via Ethernet Cable then your internet connection should be active and you will be able to use the Remote Viewing for Mobile and applicable devices. Please note that the router that you are connecting to may need to be restarted to refresh your connections

3.     If you are using Wifi to connect to the Digital Video Recorder then you will need to connect to the internet using your WiFi details which can be normally found on the back or the underneath of your router.

a.     Right Click on the Screen.

b.     Access the Main Menu (First Icon on the left).

c.      Access the Network Tab.

d.     The last option at the bottom will say “Net Server”. Please click on the two arrows to open a new window.

e.     Please double click on the option that says “WiFi”.

f.       On the new window that has appeared, click on the search button

g.     If the list at the top of the screen is filled with different internet connections please locate the name of your router and double click.

h.     just below the top section please make sure that the first and second checkbox has been marked.

i.       Please fill In the password section at the bottom with your router password.

j.       Click ok to confirm your changes and to exit the window.

On this screen next to the WiFi option it should now display the name of your router meaning that your connection is established with the router and Remote Access can be used. You can now continue to set-up your device for Remote Viewing for Mobile and applicable Devices.

No luck? Try Resetting your DVR back to the Factory Defaults.

If the device does not show up when you are running through this guide then you will have to set the device back to factory defaults to do this please follow the following instructions.
